We are a family run hotel, and we are passionate about the quality of service we provide – we will ensure that you have a fantastic experience at Holiday Inn A55 Chester West. Three generations of our family work at the hotel alongside our wonderful, experienced team. We want you to feel welcome, safe, and happy, and we provide a pampering experience with all the comforts of your own home.

Malcolm Davies, a well-known local businessman, and his wife Edna Davies built the hotel over 30 years ago. Whilst Malcolm and his daughters Caroline and Jennifer initially managed the hotel successfully for a number of years, the hotel was laterally managed by a hotel management group.

However, 22 years since they were last at the helm, they made the decision to take over the management of the hotel again in 2021. They upgraded the facilities back to the high standard they expect for their guests and took the quality of service back under their personal direction.

Since then, the hotel has gone from strength to strength. Guests who once had their weddings at the hotel returned for anniversary parties, their children’s engagement parties and other family occasions.

Jennifer is now the General Manager of the hotel again, and Caroline is the Operations Manager. Harriet, Malcolm’s granddaughter, is the Sales and Marketing Executive at the hotel, and other members of the family work in different areas. Will works in accounts, and Sam, Jaid, Jack, Tom and Ben all lend a hand when the business needs extra familial support.

Alongside the family, the hotel has a fabulous and loyal team who were recently given the ‘Going for Gold Leaders’ award by IHG, the Holiday Inn group. This award reflects the quality of service, attention to detail and recognition for achieving one of the highest ‘Guest Love and Loyalty’ targets within IHG, the worldwide hotel group which Holiday Inn A55 Chester West is part of. The award reflects all the work the family has done since they returned, and they can’t wait to welcome people back to the hotel.
